Nozenkazura (trumpet creeper)
Rinzai-shu Myoshinji Sect
The principal image is Senju-kanzeon-bosatsu (a Buddha with thousand hands) with one thousand eyes and as many hands full of compassion and mercy on all the suffering living creatures.
This temple was built in Heian Era (800-900). It was supported by a feudal lord called "Kokubu". There are some segments of old documents in the Middle Ages and a gold-painted stone memorial tablet and many other ones. A splendor of more than ten thousand flowers of Nozenkazura (the species of trumpet creeper) can be seen in its precincts in summertime.
